What your bathroom costs in Dublin
Two taps: the kind of job, and whether anything moves. The answer is the range Dublin firms publish for it.
Published Dublin range for this job
€10,000 to €20,000+
Published Dublin prices for this job, read 3 November 2026. Kev Decor: €10,000 to €14,000 (wet room (3 to 6 m²)); LN Bathroom Renovations: €15,000 to €20,000+ (luxury wet room (5 m² and up)).
- Tiling labour runs €45 to €80 a m² in Dublin, on top of the tiles (LN Bathroom Renovations).
- A skip is €350 to €550, plus €150 to €250 for a parking permit in the city centre (Tile Merchant).
- Electrics by a Registered Electrical Contractor, who gives you a completion certificate (CRU).
How this is worked out
The range runs from the lowest to the highest figure that Dublin bathroom firms and a price guide publish for that kind of job (LN Bathroom Renovations, Kev Decor, Dublin Plumber 24hrs, Tile Merchant's Dublin column). "+" means one of them gives no top figure. Moving things adds Kev Decor's €1,500 to €3,000 for layout changes. The sum is ours. Prices read on 3 November 2026. Kev Decor adds no VAT; the others mostly don't say. It's an estimate, never a quote.
How it works
A floor that is the shower tray
- The fall: the floor slopes gently to the drain, so water can't reach the door.
- Tanking: a waterproof membrane over the whole floor and up the walls, before any tile goes on.
- The drain: a linear channel or a square gully, set lower than the floor round it.
- The floor build-up: on a timber upstairs floor, the joists may be cut down or a sloped former laid; on concrete, the screed is laid to the fall.
LN Bathroom Renovations says a wet room needs specialised tanking systems, drainage falls and waterproof membranes, and puts the installation alone at from €7,000.

Before anyone comes to price it
- Measure the room, wall to wall, and the window and door.
- Decide if the toilet and shower stay where they are. Moving them adds pipework.
- Check where the hot water comes from: a cylinder, a combi boiler or an electric shower.
- In an apartment, ask the management company about access, lifts, working hours and parking for the skip.
- Ask for a written price that lists the strip-out, tanking, tiling, fittings, electrics and VAT.
